2024 Texas Bluebonnet Award

The 2024 Texas Bluebonnet Award went to The Legend of Gravity: A Tall Basketball Tale, written and illustrated by Charly Palmer. More than 63,000 Texas students in grades 3 through 6 voted on the 2023–2024 list of twenty books. That list included Kate DiCamillo's The Beatryce Prophecy, Christina Soontornvat's The Last Mapmaker, Mac Barnett's The First Cat in Space Ate Pizza and the nonfiction picture book Blue by Nana Ekua Brew-Hammond, illustrated by Daniel Minter. The other nineteen titles appear here as nominees. The Texas Library Association announced the result on February 20, 2024.
