2025 Texas Bluebonnet Award

The 2025 Texas Bluebonnet Award went to Ice Cream Man: How Augustus Jackson Made a Sweet Treat Better by Glenda Armand and Kim Freeman, illustrated by Keith Mallett. About 36,000 Texas students in grades 3 through 6 voted on the 2024–2025 list after reading at least five of its twenty books. The nominees ranged from novels such as Katherine Applegate's Odder and Jasmine Warga's A Rover's Story to nonfiction such as Caves by Nell Cross Beckerman and Ketanji by Kekla Magoon. The remaining nineteen titles appear here as nominees. The Texas Library Association announced the winner on February 13, 2025.
