1984 Texas Bluebonnet Award

Nothing's Fair in Fifth Grade by Barthe DeClements won the 1984 Texas Bluebonnet Award, chosen by the votes of Texas children in grades three through six. Students spent the 1983–1984 school year reading from a master list that a Texas Library Association committee had put together, 20 books in all, and then cast ballots for the one they liked best. Other titles on that year's list included A Lion to Guard Us, The Amazing Memory of Harvey Bean and Anastasia Again. All of them appear below as nominees alongside the winner.
