2006 Texas Bluebonnet Award

Texas students in grades three through six picked Seadogs by Lisa Wheeler as the 2006 Texas Bluebonnet Award winner. Their vote closed out the 2005–2006 reading year, when young readers across the state worked through a master list of 20 books selected by a Texas Library Association committee. That list also featured The Boy on Fairfield Street, Chasing Vermeer and Christopher Mouse. The winner and every other nominee from the 2005–2006 list are collected here.
