Togo by Robert J. Blake won the 2005 Texas Bluebonnet Award, chosen by the votes of Texas children in grades three through six. Students spent the 2004–2005 school year reading from a master list that a Texas Library Association committee had put together, 20 books in all, and then cast ballots for the one they liked best.
