2004 Texas Bluebonnet Award

The 2004 Texas Bluebonnet Award went to Shoeless Joe and Black Betsy by Phil Bildner. The Texas Library Association program asks students in grades three through six to read from a master list and then vote for a favorite, and the book with the most votes statewide wins. The 2003–2004 list held 20 titles, including All the Way Home, The Buffalo Nickel and Bull’s-Eye. Every book on the list is counted as a Bluebonnet nominee for that year, and this page gathers the winner together with the rest of the list.
