1998 Texas Bluebonnet Award

The 1998 Texas Bluebonnet Award went to Tornado by Betsy Byars. The Texas Library Association program asks students in grades three through six to read from a master list and then vote for a favorite, and the book with the most votes statewide wins. The 1997–1998 list held 20 titles, including The 13th Floor, Earthquake Terror and The Gentleman Outlaw and Me--Eli. Every book on the list is counted as a Bluebonnet nominee for that year, and this page gathers the winner together with the rest of the list.
