Best Graphic Novels Books for 4th Grade

Graphic novels are a real reading choice for fourth graders, asking readers to follow story, dialogue and pictures at the same time. This page starts with New Kid by Jerry Craft, the first graphic novel to win the Newbery Medal, about a seventh grader finding his place at a new school. It also includes The Cartoonists Club, an Eisner Award winner about kids learning to make their own comics, along with folktales retold in comics form, a neighborhood fantasy built from cardboard costumes and a science fiction adventure with a feline hero.
