A Girl and Her Fed

A Girl and Her Fed is a long-running science fiction and fantasy comic created by K. B. Spangler, who drew it herself in its early years before Ale Presser took over the art. Journalist Hope Blackwell discovers that someone has been opening her mail, and the ghost of Benjamin Franklin leads her to the man behind it: Patrick Mulcahy, a federal agent who is secretly a cyborg. His experimental computer-linked implants have been slowly wearing down his sanity, and the unlikely bond between the reporter and the agent grows into a sprawling story of government secrets, surveillance and friendship. Launched online in 2006, the comic mixes political thriller, comedy and the supernatural, and its world has expanded into a series of prose novels. It was a 2026 Hugo Award finalist for Best Graphic Story or Comic.
