Ale Presser

Ale Presser is a Brazilian comics artist and writer who has worked in print and online comics since the 1990s. She lives in Portugal.

In 2019 she joined author K.B. Spangler as the artist of A Girl and Her Fed, a long-running science fiction webcomic about privacy, technology and politics. A Girl and Her Fed was a Hugo Award finalist in 2026. The working relationship grew into a full creative partnership, and the two now also make Side Quested, a lighthearted fantasy comedy about a young librarian who gets tangled up in breaking off a royal engagement.

Presser holds a doctorate in design with a focus on hypermedia, and she turned her thesis into a practical guide for creators who want to develop and publish webtoons. That research earned Brazil's Troféu HQ Mix for best doctoral thesis in 2020.
