2011 Texas Bluebonnet Award
The Uglified Ducky by Willy Claflin won the 2011 Texas Bluebonnet Award, chosen by the votes of Texas children in grades three through six. Students spent the 2010–2011 school year reading from a master list that a Texas Library Association committee had put together, 20 books in all, and then cast ballots for the one they liked best. Other titles on that year's list included 11 Birthdays, 14 Cows for America and Calvin Coconut. All of them appear below as nominees alongside the winner.
