1996 Texas Bluebonnet Award

Time for Andrew by Mary Downing Hahn won the 1996 Texas Bluebonnet Award, chosen by the votes of Texas children in grades three through six. Students spent the 1995–1996 school year reading from a master list that a Texas Library Association committee had put together, 20 books in all, and then cast ballots for the one they liked best. Other titles on that year's list included Mummies and Their Mysteries, Alien Secrets and Baba Yaga and Vasilisa the Brave. All of them appear below as nominees alongside the winner.
