The Haunting of Tram Car 015 is a novella by P. Djèlí Clark set in an alternate Cairo in 1912, where magic and supernatural beings have become part of everyday life. Agents Hamed Nasr and Onsi Youssef of the Ministry of Alchemy, Enchantments and Supernatural Entities are called in to handle what looks like a routine case: a tram car that appears to be possessed. The job quickly grows more complicated, drawing the pair into a city alive with suffragettes campaigning for the vote, secret societies and thinking automatons. With humor and a vivid sense of place, the story blends mystery, fantasy and alternate history while exploring a city on the edge of change. It is set in the same world as Clark's other Cairo stories and was a 2020 Hugo Award finalist for Best Novella.
