2020 Hugo Awards

The 2020 Hugo Awards were presented on August 1, 2020, by CoNZealand, the World Science Fiction Convention based in Wellington, New Zealand. Because of the pandemic the convention and its ceremony were held online, a first for the awards. Arkady Martine won Best Novel for A Memory Called Empire, her debut. Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone won Best Novella for This Is How You Lose the Time War, a story told through letters between two rival agents. Best Graphic Story or Comic went to LaGuardia, written by Nnedi Okorafor with art by Tana Ford. Each category had six finalists, chosen and voted on by members of the convention. This page lists the winners and the other finalists that are available as books.
