About the book
All My Rage, by Sabaa Tahir, moves between Lahore, Pakistan, and the small desert town of Juniper, California. In the present, Salahudin and Noor are teenagers who were each other's closest friend from childhood until a painful falling-out drove them apart. Sal is trying to keep his family's struggling motel running while his mother is gravely ill and his father drinks, and Noor is counting the days until she can leave the uncle who raised her and the liquor store where she works. As Sal's choices grow riskier and Noor's plans begin to slip, the two must decide whether their friendship can be rebuilt. Chapters set in the past tell the story of Sal's mother, Misbah, as a young bride arriving in America. The novel deals with grief, addiction, abuse and racism, and is published for readers fourteen and up.
