DUNE: The Official Movie Graphic Novel

DUNE: The Official Movie Graphic Novel adapts Denis Villeneuve's 2021 film of Frank Herbert's classic science fiction novel into comics form. Written by Lilah Sturges with art by Drew Johnson, it follows young Paul Atreides as his family, House Atreides, is ordered to take control of the desert planet Arrakis, the only source of the precious spice that makes interstellar travel possible. The new post turns out to be a trap laid by rival powers, and Paul soon finds himself fighting to survive in the deep desert, home to the native Fremen and the giant sandworms. Drawing on the film's look and design, the book retells the first part of Herbert's story for readers who enjoy visual storytelling. It was a 2023 Hugo Award finalist for Best Graphic Story or Comic.
