2026 Dublin Literary Award

The 2026 Dublin Literary Award went to Ali Smith for Gliff, a novel originally written in English. It was chosen from a shortlist of six books drawn from library nominations around the world. The other five shortlisted titles were In Late Summer by Magdalena Blažević, translated by Anđelka Raguž; Live Fast by Brigitte Giraud, translated by Cory Stockwell; Perspectives by Laurent Binet, translated by Sam Taylor; The Emperor of Gladness by Ocean Vuong; and What I Know About You by Éric Chacour, translated by Pablo Strauss. Four of the six were translations, three of them from French. The shortlist was announced in April, and the winner was revealed on May 21, 2026, during the International Literature Festival Dublin.
