The Reason for Church: Why the Body of Christ Still Matters in an Age of Anxiety, Division, and Radical Individualism
Winner · Book of the Year

Award
The Christianity Today Book Awards are the magazine's annual picks for the books most likely to shape evangelical life, thought and culture. Each year Christianity Today names a winner and an Award of Merit in about fifteen categories, from biblical studies, theology and apologetics to history and biography, politics and public life, fiction, and books for children and young adults. One title is also chosen as the Book of the Year.
Publishers nominate books for one or more categories. The leading contenders are reviewed and ranked by dozens of judges, including theologians, pastors, novelists and other writers, and a group of the magazine's editors then reads the top contenders closely to choose the Book of the Year and the Awards of Merit. The results are announced each December.
Books nominated by their publishers in the magazine's annual call for entries are considered for one or more of about fifteen categories.
Usually announced in December.
