ECPA Christian Book Awards

The ECPA Christian Book Awards recognize the year's best Christian books and Bibles across a dozen categories, from Bible study and Christian living to biography, devotional and gift books, ministry resources and books for children and young readers. They are run by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association, the trade group for Christian publishers, and have been given every year since 1978. Until 2005 they were known as the Gold Medallion Book Awards, and they took their current name in 2006.

Each category has five finalists unless a tie produces more, and one winner is named in each. From the finalist pool, a single title is also chosen as the Christian Book of the Year for its literary quality and impact. The winners are celebrated each spring at ECPA's annual leadership gathering. Christian fiction is honored separately through the Christy Award, which ECPA also administers.

Christian books and Bibles entered by their publishers are considered in about a dozen categories each year; novels are judged separately through the Christy Award.
